After two months of recess, parliament is set to resume business this Thursday with the Doctors strike said to be top on the agenda.

Members of Parliament are expected to report the outcomes of their consultations on the constitutional amendment of Article 102 (b) of the presidential age limit.

The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga adjourned parliament since September 28th to allow MPs fully consult their constituents on the matter.

Some of the MPs we have reached to like; Dr. Keefa  Kiwanuka of Kiboga East, Ngora County’s David Abala and Bufumbira East’s James Nsaba Buturo expressed sadness over the loss of lives in hospitals, insisting on having a salary review commission to address salary disparities for all public servants.

Buturo further says that the debate on lifting the president age limit shouldn’t over shadow other national issues and wants parliament to forge unity, look into the MPs conduct as well as reconciling them following the fight on September 27th when SFC officers stormed the house to evict the 25 of them.
