Parliament has seen unusual deployment of security operatives of both the Police and the Military purportedly to counter any group or a faction of National Resistance Movement (NRM) legislatures opposed to lifting of the presidential Age limit.

The Shadow Attorney General who is also Ndorwa East Wilfred Niwagaba said they will never be intimidated not ever with the CIID summons issued against them, but rather will grow stronger and stand against the bad ideology of amending the constitution to lift the presidential age limit.

He said such acts may lead the country into anarchy similar to the past regimes of the late Idi Amini Dada

Meanwhile, Lwemiyaga County MP Theodore Ssekikubo says they are to demand for an official statement from parliament to the CIID under which charge they are called for investigation.

Kumi woman MP Monica Amoding insists that they won’t support the move even when it means to be expelled from the NRM party.

The government chief whip last week informed Cabinet about the Proposal of a Member of Parliament Hon Raphael Magezi to move a private members bill in respect of article 102(b) and other constitutional amendments in Parliament.
