Police have refuted allegations of crashing with the officers from the Internal Security Organization (ISO) at Christine Muhooza Mbabazi, a female friend of slain AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi’s residence in Lungujja a Kampala suburb.

Addressing the Media at Naguru, the Police Spokesperson AIGP Asan Kasingye said that they were only intervening in Mbabazi’s matter after she called them to rescue her life on claiming to be in danger, but the police later withdraw after finding ISO deployed at her place.

This follows reports about the scuffle between ISO soldiers and the police after the force attempted to access Mbabazi’s home to take her away which failed due to the deployment of an elite armed personnel that took over the security.

It’s understood Mbabazi has sensitive information about Kaweesi’s murder.

However, Kasingye confesses that they have no investigations carried against Mbabazi in connection with Kaweesi’s murder though they understand that ISO has its own investigations.

Meanwhile, Police warns to arrest school directors and head teachers that could deny chances of their students from stealing the Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) exams and instead embezzle the registration money.
