Police have exposed registered taxi number plates allegedly used by yet unknown group of criminals to display leaflets with a discontented message over government longer stay in power and also threatening people in the central business area.

The Police Spokesperson Asan Kasingye says, taxis bearing registration numbers UAU 956D, UAR 787C and UAS 618Q distribute leaflets containing subversive messages over Presidential age limit and governance and one of the groups indentified as Kabaazi operates in Nansana its being led by one nicknamed Heavy who threatens to kill if their victims file to give them money ranging from a million shillings.

Meanwhile, Kasingye deferred from his boss the IGP Kale Kayihura who had earlier linked the distribution of leaflets to politicians saying there no yet incriminating evidence.

Kasingye also faulted radio talk show hosts for allowing to operate by instinct citing ever changed topics when he is invited to talk shows saying he is dissatisfied with the habit of changing topics just minutes to the show describing it as un professional.

Kasingye announced Assistant Commissioner of Police Polly Namaye as fully confirmed deputy police spokesperson following completion of her training course and Superintend of Police Samson Lubega will also be assisting in disseminating information to the public.
