Police have warned of commuters of the rampant theft in taxis and traffic jam targeting valuables, computers, expensive phones, jewelry and others.

The Police Spokesperson Emilian Kayima says they have recorded several cases of people lost their properties in the taxis in areas of Nsambya traffic lights, clock tower,

Theft cases in traffic jam and taxis mostly happen during Christmas season and the period of having students returning from schools for holidays.

Meanwhile, Kayima cautions parents to be vigilant about their children during this long term holiday to avoid them from being lured into sexual activities include homosexuality and other criminalities.

He further warns Ugandans working from abroad and tends to return for holidays to avoid displaying money and trusting everybody since many targets their properties.
