President Museveni has visited families that were attacked and some of those injured in Bukomansimbi in Lwengo district and promised that security is doing all it takes to secure them.

Museveni who walked door to door with the inspector general of police General Kale Kayihura and other security officers said the residents needed to cooperate with the security and provide full information to avert the problem.

The Kayihura who pitched camp in the area since Monday in the morning visited Masaka Hospital to check on those who were hospitalized among whom is Kintu Charles who was badly injured in the Sunday night attack and he is preferred for transfer to Mulango in Kampala for speicalised treatment while a P7 leaver Nabikko Nansi is still under intensive care.

In an exclusive with the Police Spokesman Emilian Kayima four of those who were admitted at Masaka Hospital including; Cosma Kimera, Wilberforce Sensoga, Deuce Kityamuwesi and Edward Lubalizi have been discharged.

General Kayihura and the force’s Community Liaison Officer Anatoli Muleterwa together with a team of special officers who were dispatched to the area have taking holding meetings and conducting foot patrols in the badly affected areas of Kisojo, Kyamabaale, Katoogo, Kisaaka in Bukomansimbi that claimed five lives including a retired police officer SSP Denis Ssebuggwawo Lumala and a primary three pupil on new year’s eve.
