President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has pledged Uganda Shilling 2.5 billion to Kampala National Resistance Movement (NRM) youth.

The pledge was made by State House controller, Lucy Nakyobe in a meeting with the Kampala NRM youth at Biyem Hotel in Mengo on Wednesday following the presidential tour last month.

The youth presented a washing bay project costing Uganda shilling 796 million said to be already operational in five divisions of Kampala that needs to be supported with modern equipment.

Nakyobe assured the youth that government will fulfill its pledge as announced by the president promising to increase the Youth budget for to at least Ushs 500 million to support tier projects.
