The Bishop Emeritus of Hoima Rt. Rev. Edward Akiki Baharagate has hailed the Uganda Episcopal Conference for the vision of investing in modern means of communication like radios that have transformed society not only in the word of God but also in their well being.

Officiating at the launch of the of the initiative to purchase a min- bus for Radio Sapientia Ggaba Fans Branch at Ggaba Parish Bishop Baharagate said radios and televisions have initiated programs that have transformed society in farming, education, health and leadership among others.

He cited Radio Sapientia whose listeners have started to organize themselves in groups for big projects which he said it is the purpose of a fan to mobilize resources to support the mother project and themselves since they have support.

He reminded fans always to be good ambassadors of their projects like him who has been a clear fan of Liverpool football club since 1995. He donated UGX 200,000 towards the cause and the Managing director of Radio Sapientia Fr. Eustachius Lwemalika also donated the same amount plus other well-wishers like Joseph Iga of Steal and Tube and the wife and Emanuel Katongole of quality Chemicals who each pledged a million UGX giving a total of money realized both in cash and pledges to UGX 12 million.
