The government of Rwanda is to commemorate the 24th anniversary since the end of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi April 7th with several activities taking place in Rwanda and at all its missions in other countries.

According to the Rwandan high commissioner to Uganda Maj. Gen. Francis Mugambaje, the 1994 genocide of Rwanda wasn’t the first atrocity in the world and they are not accidental but planned by ill minded groups that need to reform.

Addressing the media at the High Commission in Kampala, Mugambaje says that at the 100 days celebrations will climax with the visiting at various sites where Rwandese were buried and in Uganda they will pray for those who were buried at Kasensero in Rakai and Ggolo in Mpigi.

Rwanda has experienced civil strife before in the 1950s, 60s and 70s that forced many citizens to scatter for safety in Uganda DR Congo, Burundi and Tanzania.
