The Arch Bishop of Kampala Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga has sent his condolences to the family, friends and the country at Large over the loss of John Ssebaana Kizito who passed on early this week.

In the farewell message read for him by the Assistant Vicar General Msgr Dr. Lawrence Ssemusu at Sure house in Kampala, Dr.Lwanga says the business community has lost a man who has been innovative citing SWICO which has existed for over 40 years.

Meanwhile Fr. Musajja Akaawa from Mt.Sion Prayer Center Bukalango in the homily challenged people to desist from corruption, sectarianism and self centeredness which are compromising code of leadership in this country.

In the morning the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi through his premiere Charles Peter Mayiga while at Namirembe cathedral said that the late Ssebaana was a person who loved his kingdom, a leader with mature politics and an entrepreneur whose features must be emulated by all.

Katikiro praised Ssebaana for supporting clan football tournaments, challenged politicians and friends to protect his legacy.

The government chief whip Ruth Nankabirwa who represented government said the late Ssebaana negotiated with all people in the interest of having politics that would service all citizens.

The DP President Norbert Mao challenged people never to lose hope but stand firm and wait for the opportune moment to change leadership in Uganda peacefully.

The children of the late praised KCCA and government for according their father a state funeral accepting to name Nakivubo place after their father now called Ssebaana road.

Ssebaana 83, died on Monday July 3rd after suffering from a brain stroke at Nakasero hospital where he spent two weeks.

The body has been transported to his ancestral home in Mpande Luweero where it will be buried.
