St. Charles Kaloli Lwanga Catholic Parish Mutundwe has celebrated 5 years since inception under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Wallen Kibalama at a colourful ceremony officiated by the Deputy Episcopal Vicar Kampala Archdiocese Msgr. Lawrence Ssemusu.

Msgr. Ssemusu congratulated the parishioners for the development above all the spiritual growth that has to be cherished and protected jealously.

He says a catholic should exhibit a high degree of personality, responsibility if they are to bring incremental difference in the society.

Msgr. Ssemusu also challenged the congregation against regarding themselves orphans or hopeless but stand as a Catholics in God to achieve success.

To the parents and married Msgr. Ssemusu said they must explore their talents and avoid complacence and selfishness.

The Parish Priest of St. Charles Lwanga Parish Mutundwe Fr. Wallen Kibalama hailed the support he has enjoyed at the Parish that has given him success for the development of the parish.

The parish has expanded the church to at least 1000 seating capacity, faced the two acre land, the four sub parishes helped to build churches and start up income generating projects.

He however said the parishioners need to work hard on the sacrament of matrimony because in the five years the parish has only received18 married couples although other sacraments are fully embraced.

Fr. Kibalama appealed to parents to plan for the children as the beginning of the term draws near.

At the same function three couples graced their marriages.
