Finally, government has agreed to give striking judicial officers their key demanding issues such Salary increment, Security, cars among others.

Addressing the journalists today after the Uganda Judicial Officers Association (UJOA) extra ordinary meeting the Association president Godfrey Kaweesi said that government has responded to their call without hesitating.

Kaweesi adds that they are going to go back to work tomorrow Thursday 7th September 2017 but on condition that if the government fails to fulfill its pledge they will resume to strike by 11th December 2017.

Recently all judicial officers opted to stay away from courtrooms following the government fail to address their salary increment, provision of vehicles to enhance land justice, medical insurance, housing and security.

He calls upon judges to go back at work as the government is working on the problem.

Meanwhile the Minister for Justice and Constitutional affairs Kahinda Otaffire has advised the judges to keep calm because the government not only works on their problems but there other arms which need help too.
