The 24 Members of Parliament who were suspended for three sittings for interrupting house business, a move that culminated into a horrible fracas last Tuesday 26th of September, have this morning swarm parliament donning in red attires.

Speaking to the opposition Chief Whip that represents Kira Municipality in Parliament Ibrahim Semujju Nganda said they are ready to appear before the rules and disciplinary committee to explain their side over the alleged lead in destroying parliamentary property.

Semujju adds that Speaker Rebecca Kadaga should not be exonerated in answering for the destruction of the parliamentary property because she was party of the team that invited the SFC commandos to sweep them out of the chamber a brutal act that is still condemned.

However, they returned when the Speaker Rebecca Kadaga had suspended parliament to unofficial holiday with no clear date of return.

Yesterday, the Parliamentary Committee on Rules, Discipline and Privileges started investigating the conduct of the 24 Members of Parliament who had been suspended from three sittings of parliament last week.

The committee chaired by Kalaki County MP Clement Ongalo Obote started with an interim meeting reflecting on terms and references of investigation as provided by Speaker Rebecca Kadaga.

However, Ongalo notes that his committee is not going to investigate the conduct of minister of state for water Ronald Kibuule who is said to have entered chambers with a pistol contrary to the law, since he was suspension for three sittings and his name has not been forwarded to them for investigation

Meanwhile Ssemujju has opposed the pronounced by the government chief whip Ruth Nankabirwa that the parliamentary commission was working out modes of facilitating Mps to kick start the consultation meetings on the constitutional amendment bill brought by Igara West MP Raphael Magyezi that seeks to remove the presidential age limit from the constitution.

Ssemujju says already parliament through the parliamentary committee on legal and parliamentary affairs provides money to Mps for consultations in their constituencies twice a month which should be the same funds distributed to NRM MPs said to be going for consultations than drawing from the national treasury.
