The Catholic Church today March 19th is marking the feast of St. Joseph the husband of Mary who accepted to take care of Jesus the savour of the world.

Many institutions and parishes plus the Josephs and Josephines are celebrating this day and many have started with Mass to give thanks and pray through St. Joseph to intercede for them.

At St. Peter’s Nsambya Girls Primary School,  Rev Fr Simon Peter Katende from Kisubi parish who led their Eucharistic celebration noted that St Joseph was a prudent person who would handle everything in a humble way with honesty which virtues should be copied by not only the young ones but all Christians.

He also commended St Joseph for being obedient a virtue that is important for the current generation that is taken by globalization and desire for riches.

Pupils performed plays and recited poems showing the beauty of St. Joseph and they were later served a special meal.

St. Joseph’s Girls Primary School Nsambya was started by now the servant of God Mother Mary Kevin the founder of the congregation of the little sisters of St. Francis of Assisi Nkokonjeru over 100 years ago to provide formal education to the girl child who was taken as only a house wife.
