The Uganda Catholic Secretariat has honuored in prayer the works of the late Geraldine Lwanyaga who passed on Tuesday morning June 20th at Nsambya Hospital after a short illness.

In a requiem mass at Nsambya Hospital Chaplaincy led by the Executive Secretary for the Social Communications Commission at the Catholic Secretariat, Fr. Philip Odii commended Lwanyaga for the love of serving the church and Jesus Christ, dedication to the job and a person with a spirit of inspiration to the entire staff of the secretariat.

Lwanyaga has worked for 19 years as an Administrative Assistant of the Social Communications Department at Uganda Catholic Secretariat since 1998.

Fr. Odii reminded that as a Catholic there is life after death, which everyone must work for irrespective of one’s call, Profession and dedication.

Mrs Lwanyaga survived with two children and will be buried at Butooro Kamengo in Ggoli Parish on Wednesday June 21st at 4pm after a requiem mass at St. Peter’s Parish Nsambya that is expected to start at 10am.

Geraldine underwent hernia operation on June 2nd at Nsambya Hospital and she was discharged but the condition did not improve. She was re-admitted and was due for re-operation. They could not however operate immediately because her breathing was not good and she was weak and she passed on.
