The Archbishop of Kampala Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga has congratulated Ugandans upon reaching the 55th independence anniversary with acknowledgment to the development achieved.

Dr. Lwanga says it would be unfair for one not to appreciate what has been a done citing schools, hospitals and road among other facilities although a lot is still needed.

His message came as Ugandans, Ministers Dignitaries and the President Museveni journeyed to Bushenyi at the Municipal grounds where the nation celebrations were are held under the theme; “Uganda’s freedom must be anchored in the spirit of hard work, resilience and commitment”.

Dr.Lwanga was happy with the government pronouncement of instituting a constitutional review commission to collect people’s views on the constitutional amendments but noted that it would be inclusive of religious, senior citizens and  civil society among other notable leaders because their contribution is seriously required.

This was after the Mpigi district chairperson Peter Clever Mutuluza called on Ugandans to pray for this country over the challenging situations that are eminent in politics.
