The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (CID) is investigating the Uganda Football Association (UFA) for alleged misappropriation of funds.

The CID Spokesperson Vincent Sekatte, confirmed the investigation saying they want the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) to avail them with the information and documents

The letter addressed to the Uganda FA Chief Executive Officer, Edgar Suubi Watson was signed by CID officer Joseph Robert Ojinga, file number

Some of the details police has requested for include, list of names and titles of officials, amount of funds they received, details of requisition made for travels abroad, budgets and schedules for activities prepared between 2014 and to-date, payment vouchers, details of payment for air tickets and boarding passes, programme for the recent Fufa Assembly campaigns and areas covered, activity reports and general accountability.

Last month the State Minister for Sports, Charles Bakkabulindi had also given the FA an ultimatum to account for the funds they receive from sponsors, FIFA and CAF. The Uganda FA quickly sent in the accountability report, although the government has not yet responded.
