Government has denied partnership with Israel’s counterparts to host thousands of African migrants who have been ordered to leave the Middle East country within 90 days.

The State Minister for International Affairs Henry Okello Oryem Okello has confirmed to the press that there is no such an agreement with the Israelis over the refugees.

Already the Opposition Uganda People’s Congress through its publicity Secretary Michael Osinde Orach had accused government of not respecting its policy on hosting refugees in the country allowing everyone to settle here yet even the citizens do not have enough resources.

Osinde was reacting in respect to the order issued last evening by the Isreali Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to have all African refuges return to their home countries by April this year or seek refuge in Uganda or Rwanda or face imprisonment except children elderly and victims of slavery and human trafficking shows how serious countries are unlike Uganda.

Currently Uganda hosts over 1.5 refugees in different camps coming from south Sudan, Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Central African Republic among others due to a number of reasons.
