The Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) executive director Jolly Kaguhangire has refuted allegations that the Authority only licenses foreign investors to work in industrial parks.

Kaguhangire released a Report on Licensed Projects for the last 9 months 2017/2018, showing over 225 investors who have been cleared for business out of which 193 investors representing 52 % are Ugandans and only 48% are foreigners.

She however challenges Ugandans not only worry over foreign investors in Uganda because they too create employment for Ugandans.

Meanwhile Kaguhangire challenged Ugandans to desist from involving in violent activities including industrial actions, Murders and demonstrations that they scare investors.
