The Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) faction led by Jimmy Akena has vowed never to tolerate its parallel group to sabotage its leadership.

This follows a recent letter in which the party through its President Jimmy Akena summoned Joseph Bossa and three others to appear before the disciplinary committee on May 15 2019 at 10am for leading a parallel group.

Addressing the media today in Kampala, Akena confirmed the summons saying that Bossa together with Peter Walubiri of Milton Obote Foundation (MOF), Fr. Jacinto Ogwal and the former Oyam South Member of Parliament Isha Otto Amiza has been listed as disobedient members and have to appear before the disciplinary committee.

It’s said the accused members instituted a civil suit against Orient Bank Limited in the party names without authority and running a propaganda campaign against nominated candidates in the 2016 general elections.
