Uganda Revenue Authority has organized Taxpayers discourses throughout the country to dissect the 2018/19 budget that was presented last Thursday by the minister of finance Matia Kasaija at Serena international conference hall.
The discourses held under the theme; “Benefit from your budget” have provided knowledge about the taxes especially the new ones and the mode of their collection, its implications on the tax payers and the public.
This is the fourth gathering of the kind to be held every after the National budget reading organised at the different venues in the country and in Kampala the speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga attended the same discourse held at Hotel Africana,
The commissioner general URA Doris Akol underscored the need to pay taxes with emphasis to paying attention to value addition on the local products but also Ugandans to take desire in tapping the opportunities from the budget.
The 32 trillion Ushs budget of the FY 2018/19 will be based on a theme; industrialization for job creation and shared prosperity.
