The Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi has commended the sisters for the development they offer to the country in their line of duty.
He cites the contribution of faith based schools, hospitals and other social services that have marked the transformation of Uganda.
His Excellence Ssekandi has been presiding over the function for the Institute of Immaculate Heart of Mariparatrix Ggogonya where six new nuns professed their first vows, five made perpetual vows, five others celebrated silver jubilees and only two marked their golden jubilees respectively
However, the Katikkiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga who has also been one the guests at the function described the sisters as a strong pillar to development which must be emulated.
Mayiga said religious sisters exhibit a high degree of commitment that gives a remarkable degree of quality in their projects which lacks in government projects giving no value for tax payers money.
