RWENZURURU PREMIER OUT ON A UGX 75 MILLION BOND

The Rwenzururu Kingdom Prime Minister Johnson Thembo Kitsumbire, has been released by the Jinja High court on a non-cash bond of 75 million Shillings while his sureties were bonded 100 million Shillings each.

Kitsumbire was granted bail by Justice Eva Luswata following an application he filed in March 6, citing advanced age and poor health.

POLICE FLYING SQUAD BITS HARD ON IMPOSTERS

Three suspected imposters believed to have conned people of yet unidentified huge sums of money under the name of police have been arrested by the Police Flying Squad and detained at Nalufenya police station in Jinja.

In a press conference this afternoon the Flying Squad Commander Herbert Muhangi said they made the arrests after receiving complaints on the behavior of some of their operatives while in the field of soliciting money from members of the public, arrest and also torture them

The Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere is set to return to court in Jinja today February 6th to hear his second bail application over charges of treason, terrorism and murder.

This second bail application follows the first one of January 13th which was opposed by the state and Omusinga was re-arrested upon his release by Jinja High Court judge Evan Luswata.
