COSASE SEEKS FOR MORE TIME

The Parliamentary Committee on Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE) has written to the speaker of parliament asking for an extension of four weeks to conclude investigations into the presidential handshake of 6 billion shillings that was extended to 42 government officials for their role in the tax gains case with Tullow Oil and Heritage Oil and Gas.

As parliament grieves the death of Moroto district woman Mp Annie Logiel and the NRM founder Maumbe Mukhwana another sad story hits the house after the death of the former Soroti Municipality Mp Charles Willy Ekemu

Ekemu who served as the Soroti Municipality Mp from 2006 to 2011 succumbed to cancer of the liver at his home at Seeta, Mukono, a day after he was discharged from Nsambya Hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
