RWENZURURU PREMIER OUT ON A UGX 75 MILLION BOND

The Rwenzururu Kingdom Prime Minister Johnson Thembo Kitsumbire, has been released by the Jinja High court on a non-cash bond of 75 million Shillings while his sureties were bonded 100 million Shillings each.

Kitsumbire was granted bail by Justice Eva Luswata following an application he filed in March 6, citing advanced age and poor health.

60 RWENZURURU ROYAL GUARDS SURRENDER, KIJANANGOMA WARNED

A group of 60 Rwenzururu Royal guards have surrendered to government a week after King Charles Wesley Mumbere was granted bail.

About 200 security guards surrendered to security agencies after the arrest of Mumbere against the violence that happened in Kasese last November resulting into loss of lives.

The Police Spokesperson Andrew Felix Kaweesi says the surrendering of the latest group is an action that guarantees security in Kasese.

The Omusinga for Rwenzururu Kingdom Charles Wesley Mumbere has been granted bail for the second time by Justice Michael Elubu in Jinja High Court after negotiations between government and Rwenzururu Kingdom officials.

Although the charges against Mumbere that is treason, terrorism and murder are of grave nature, Justice Elubu said court promotes amicable resolution of conflict between aggrieved parties.
