The International Crimes Division of high court has adjourned the matter where the Omusinga of Rwenzururu Charles Wesley Mumbere and others are facing charges of terrorism among others.

This followed the poor network connection from the different courts where the other accused are tried via zoom which are in the districts of Bundibugyo, Kasese, Jinja and Fort Portal plus Luzira which couldn’t enable the accused to hear anything.

On Tuesday, Court had to hear the bail application of the other accused who are still in prison but because of the poor network connection, her Lordship Alice Komuhangi adjourned the matter to the November 22nd, 2022 for the bail application and as for the main application it has been adjourned to the 29th November 2022 for marking of the exhibits.

Mumbere, the key suspect in this case was arrested on November 27, 2016 together with 203 royal guards and he was granted bail in 2017 with some of his co accused though some remained in prison.

These are all accused of 41 charges related to murder, terrorism, attempted murder and aggravated robbery all committed in 2016.
