The Joint Security agencies have cautioned opposition political parties the National Unity Platform (NUP) and Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) to be vigilant of the existing terror threats in the country while conducting nationwide mobilization campaigns.

This comes after the police revealed that they had arrested a suicide bomber as the suspect attempted to enter Miracle Centre Cathedral in Rubaga division, Kampala City with an explosive devices.

Fred Enanga, the Police Spokesperson says that some of the political parties especially those holding mobilization rallies are doing it recklessly which is putting people’s lives at risk especially in this existing terror threat environment.

Enanga says that they have received credible intelligence information indicating that there are some suspected terrorists targeting the ongoing opposition political consultative meetings to carry out terrorism.

Meanwhile, Fred Enanga revealed that they have also directed the territorial police commanders to intensify Operations of implementing the ban on noise pollution.
