FDC top organ to meet over 2026 preparations

FDC Spokesperson John Kikonyogo talking about matters of FDC

The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) National Council will convene next month to decide on when to hold the National Delegates Conference.

The FDC Spokesperson John Kikonyogo informed the press at the party headquarters at Najjanankumbi on Monday that once National Delegates Conference (NDC) date is confirmed; it’s within NDC that they will decide who will be the party flag bearer for 2026 general elections.

Kikonyogo said they are also set to move in constituencies preaching FDC vision, mission and values to converse for support and identify party flag bearers for different elective positions for the 2026 general elections.

Kikonyogo has also warned the press against being misled by those who claim to be FDC members by showing certified copies of office bearers of FDC from the Electoral Commission signed by the Secretary of the Commission Leonard Mulekwah.

His comments stem from the EC’s decision that deferred the registration of the Katonga group as a full political party because of colour confusion besides the slogan or words to be used for their political party named People’s Front for Freedom-PFF.
