Airtel Uganda’s campaign dubbed “Vroomula Amajja” aimed at giving back to its Mobile Money customers has ended with a mechanic, Charles Muwonge from Nansana, Wakiso district, winning the grand prize of a Toyota RAV 4 Hybrid car.
The campaign has run for 13 weeks and 4,050 Airtel Money customers have benefited, with 117 of them getting brand new motorcycles, and 585 merchants also benefited among others.
The Managing Director, Airtel Mobile Commerce Uganda, Japhet Aritho while closing the campaign in Ntinda, Kampala, said the campaign was a movement which has turned every transaction into an opportunity, every shilling into a stepping stone towards their customers’ dreams.
Aritho adds that through “Vroomula Amajja”, Airtel was not just changing how Ugandans transact but was giving back to customers through changing their lives, fueling dreams, powering ambitions, and driving the nation towards a cashless future where every transaction opens a world of possibilities.
He has thanked everyone who has participated in the campaign and calls upon them to continue in the forthcoming festive season.
Meanwhile, Muwonge who walked away with a brand new RAV 4 motor vehicle has appreciated Airtel Uganda for coming out with such a good initiative which has helped him change his life as well as that of his family members.
