The annual National Catholic Youth Conference started on Tuesday December 10th 2024 in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hoima in the Bunyoro sub region.

The annual event organized by the Uganda Episcopal Conference attracts young people from across the 19 Dioceses of Uganda and beyond.

This year, over 10,000 youths are expected to attend the event that is to take place at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes Bujumbura in Hoima city.

The conference is rotational based on the four Ecclesiastical Provinces in Uganda.

This year’s event organized under the Mbarara Ecclesiastical Province will run from December 10th to Sunday December 15th 2024.

The conference helps in bringing young people closer to Christ, thus revitalizing the youth apostolate.
