The Retired Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Dr. Henry Luke Orombi has commended Uganda’s 11th Parliament for passing the Anti-Homosexuality Act, under the stewardship of the Speaker Anita Annet Among.

He encouraged the Speaker Among not to worry about travel sanctions imposed against her due to the law, emphasizing the importance of protecting the country’s norms and values as well as the young people.
Orombi called on leaders to prioritize moral and ethical principles while executing their roles to address the nation’s pressing challenges.
Referring to the theme of the day; “The Power of Humble Prayers and Repentance”, the Speaker pledged that Parliament would continue enacting laws that benefit humanity while upholding family and Godly values.
