Kampala Archbishop throws weight behind Radio Sapientia’s Religious Quiz

Akabbinkano Ka Katekisimu

The Archbishop of Kampala, His Grace Paul Ssemogerere, has endorsed Akabbinkano Ka Katekisimu, a religious quiz competition organized by Radio Sapientia, aimed at promoting spiritual growth and knowledge among Catholics.

According to Fr. Pius Male Ssentumbwe, Chancellor of Kampala Archdiocese, the Archbishop has directed Episcopal Vicars, Parish Priests, and Leaders of Laity to invite and encourage faithful to participate in the quiz.

“The Archbishop is committed to promoting spiritual education and growth within the Archdiocese, and this quiz competition aligns with that goal,” Fr. Male explained.

The competition, scheduled to launch on March 30, 2025, at St. Kizito Parish in Bwaise, is expected to attract participants from various parishes within the Archdiocese of Kampala.

The project will run for three months, starting on March 31, 2025, and will be broadcast live on Radio Sapientia.

Listeners will have the opportunity to participate and test their knowledge of the Catholic faith.

To participate, interested individuals are required to register at a fee of UGX 20,000.

Registration details can be obtained from Radio Sapientia or the Archdiocese of Kampala.

Radio Sapientia’s management led by Fr. Dr. Joseph Lubula had sought the Archbishop’s support for the initiative, which is expected to foster a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith among participants.
