Fr. Dr. Joseph Lubula, the Managing Director of Radio Sapientia, has underscored the importance of using the station as a medium for pastoral work and evangelization.
He highlighted that Radio Sapientia’s programming including Catechism, Sports Kakensa, competitions, children’s holiday camps, saying that parents’ camps play a vital role in promoting Catholic teachings, morals, and values to its audience.
In support of this vision, Counsel Francis Xavier Jjemba, representing Busiro South, expressed his commitment to the cause by sponsoring contestants for Akabbinkano, a project that gathers participants from all the parishes in the area.
He emphasized the need for religious education as the foundation for instilling strong moral and Catholic values.
Dominico Masembe, the Chairperson of the Banamasaka Laity in Kampala, offered his support to both the contestants and Radio Sapientia.
He called on priests to take an active role in publicizing Radio Sapientia within their communities to help expand its reach and impact.
The winner of last year’s Akabbinkano, Pius Muwanika from Nabbitalo Parish, shared his gratitude for the opportunity provided by Radio Sapientia, which allowed him to gain recognition beyond his community.
He urged this year’s contestants to stay engaged with the station’s daily programming, highlighting how it has broadened his visibility and shaped his personal growth.
