Bishop Rubaramira emphasizes family unity at 15th National Caritas Week 2025

Bishop of Kabale Diocese Rt. Rev. Callisti Rubaramira

The Bishop of Kabale Diocese Rt. Rev. Callisti Rubaramira has emphasized the importance of family unity during the closing ceremony of the 15th National Caritas Week 2025, held at Our Lady of Good Shepherd Rushoroza Cathedral.

He says that the Lay Apostolate and Caritas Uganda should prioritize promoting family meetings, advocating for this approach as a means to transform mindsets within communities.

Bishop Rubaramira expressed concern that many Africans lack a culture of regular family gatherings, leading to individuals living disconnected and unfulfilled lives.

He underscored that effective collaboration and communication within families are vital for development and harmony, contrasting it with families experiencing conflicts between spouses, which often struggle to thrive.

In a significant ceremonial gesture, the bishop transferred the Cross to Jinja Diocese, the host for next year’s national Caritas week.

His emphasis on strengthening family ties aligns with a broader vision for community development grounded in unity and teamwork.
