Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu of the Church of Uganda has called on Christians to pursue eternal life by embracing moral integrity and rejecting violence in all its forms.
Delivering his Easter sermon at All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero, the Archbishop highlighted the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a triumphant victory over death offering believers the promise of heaven and eternal life.
He voiced deep concern over harmful community behaviors such as environmental degradation, corruption, and gender-based violence urging Christians to examine their actions and strive to align their lives with the teachings of Christ.
Commending the dioceses that actively participated in Environment Month, Archbishop Kaziimba emphasized the importance of environmental stewardship as a divine responsibility.
He also spoke out strongly against corruption and drug abuse, calling for repentance and a united response from both the Church and the wider community.
Archbishop Kaziimba also encouraged believers to remain hopeful and courageous, keeping their eyes fixed on the true message of Easter, the resurrection of Jesus and the life-transforming power it brings.
