The Uganda Episcopal Conference has announced a special requiem mass to honor His Holiness Pope Francis, who passed away on Monday.
In an official statement signed by the Chairman of the Uganda Episcopal Conference, Rt. Rev. Bishop Joseph Antony Zziwa, clergy, religious, and lay members of the Church are invited to gather at Lubaga Cathedral this Friday, April 25th, 2025, at midday to pray for the late Pope.
The world is mourning the loss of Pope Francis, aged 88, the head of the Catholic Church, who died from a stroke and subsequent heart failure on Monday, April 21st, at 7:35 AM in his apartment at Casa Santa Marta during the celebration of Easter Monday, as reported by the Vatican.
