Man arrested for murdering former boss’s son

Police in Nakasongola District have arrested a man in connection with the murder of his former boss’ 9-year-old son at Kabakazi village in Kakooge Sub-County.

The suspect has been identified as Julius Kamugisha.

He is suspected to have killed Enock Tugume.

Sam Twiineamazima, the Savannah Region Police Spokesman, says that preliminary investigations reveal that the suspect is a former employee of Fred Kamugisha, the victim’s father.

He says that the suspect has been demanding money from the father and had made threats to harm him if payment was not forthcoming.

According to police, on Tuesday, the suspect encountered two of Kamugisha Fred’s children Enock Tugume and another child near a local dam.

He picked up a stick and began chasing them.

The children fled in different directions, with Tugume being pursued by the suspect.

Tragically, he was assaulted and killed.

The body has been found hidden in the bush.
