Police say the National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi is hesitant to share his side of the story over the incident that happened at Bulindo in Kira Municipality, Wakiso district last week.

This comes after Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine blamed Police for the clashes in Bulindo that left him injured and noted that he doesn’t trust security investigations over the incident.

Kituuma Rusoke, the Police Spokesperson says that they sent a team of investigators at Kyagulanyi’s Magere home to pick his side of the story given being a very important party, but he refused to share anything.

Rusoke says NUP have instead resorted to label him ‘a liar’ of what the two versions he made when he said Bobi Wine was seen by police officers at scene stumbling and also a version of shooting.

On the other side, the NUP leader’s team insisted that Police had fired teargas at them and a canister which injured him on the leg.

Rusoke says the file will still be open and waiting for Kyagulanyi to deliver his medical documents and other related evidence he claims to be having.
