Opposition political players have been challenged to unite against any form of oppression by the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Government if they are to cause political change in Uganda.
On Wednesday some opposition political parties under the United Forces of Change pressure group held prayers for all political prisoners held in different detention centers in the country.
The National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi while addressing those who converged at the NUP offices at Makerere-Kavule, Kawempe Division said that the more opposition players keep divided the more chances they grant to the Government to block their efforts of trying to cause political change in the country.
Kyagulanyi adds that all Ugandans must get concerned about the illegal actions being committed by the Government and keep pressurizing it to release all political prisoners currently under detention.
Meanwhile, Winnie Byanyima, the wife to Dr. Kizza Besigye who was the special guest at the prayers also advised opposition players to keep a united front if they want to cause meaningful change in Uganda.
