In the effort to ease and increase digital purchase of goods and services within and outside Uganda, Airtel Uganda has launched the Airtel Money Global Pay Card targeting traders working abroad.

This innovative card is made possible through partnerships with different banks as well as, International networks such as Mastercard, to enable Airtel Money customers make, secure and conveniently transact global online payments wherever Mastercard is accepted.

While addressing journalists during the official launch in Kampala today, Japhet Aritho, Managing Director of Airtel Mobile Commerce Uganda said that this is a significant step towards promoting financial inclusion and digital transformation in Uganda that has already taken place elsewhere in the world.

He has advised traders and business community to embrace this initiative to avoid losses all they need is to transfer their funds from Airtel money to their Debt Cards.
